Introduction
Jim Ayers served as Chair of the Estate Planning and Administration Practice Group for many years. During the course of his career, he prepared estate plans for many clients and represented individuals and corporate fiduciaries in Surrogate’s Courts and appellate courts in contested and uncontested matters.
Education
Mr. Ayers graduated from Colgate University and Columbia Law School.
Professional Affiliations
Mr. Ayers served as Treasurer of the New York State Bar Association and as Chair of the Association’s Trusts and Estates Law Section. He also served as President of the Estate Planning Council of Northeastern New York and as an officer of the Community Foundation for the Capital Region, the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York, and the Historic Albany Foundation.
