Proctors Theatre Ambassador Program

We are proud to co-sponsor this community and workforce development initiative, the Ambassador Program, with BST & Co. for a five-year period beginning in 2024. First launched in downtown Schenectady in 2008 in partnership with the Schenectady City Mission, The Ambassador Program provides second chance employment for those in need. Ambassadors in their distinctive red jackets can be found waving flashlights, helping people cross streets safely, suggesting parking and dining options, and opening doors to welcome visitors to the theatre venues. Ambassadors receive wages, soft skills training, and support. Numerous participants have gone on to receive full-time employment at the theatre and other connected businesses. Learn More Here
